I understand completely about going to Ybor on the weekends, it can get kind of crazy down there. I did like the crowbar however.

You take care as well, and have a wonderful weekend also.

Seems like I just read a positive review on a David Byrne show somewhere, I'll have to think about that thanks - if you ever want tix for the Tampa Theatre, its right up the road from my ofc and I'd be glad to pick them up for you on my way to work. The lady usually working there kind of likes me after I bought about 30 tix to Delbert McClinton the last time he was there and usually finds me decent seats :)

Work has been feast or famine as usual some nights we are busy and some we aren't.

I know that I will go to see Reckless Kelly and Reverand Horton Heat 10/31 at Janus Landing, the Black Crowes at HOB on 11/11 and Tab Benoit at Skippers on 12/19; other than that not sure yet but just found out Cowboy Mouth will be back in Orlando 10/23.

Hey John, love the new av pic!

Just went to HOB on Wednesday to see the Blues Brothers with Belushi and Ackroyd - it was rather funny - they brought a lot of people from the audience up onto the stage to dance with them and Belushi came out into the audience walked right by me. Biggest crowd I've ever seen there. But I still prefer the Black Crowe's version of Hard to Handle - lol.

How about you?

APTBS was a good show. I have to admit, the first four songs, I was skeptical because it was just TOO loud. The Troubadour is an intimate venue and it was just a massive assault of sound with no discernible harmonies, melodies, vocals. It was like a big orgy of sound. However, somewhere around the fifth song (right after my sixth beer)it just all started making sense and kicking ass. All in all, we all had a good time. The show was short though - they took the stage at 10:20pm and they were done by 11:15pm. The opening band was pretty good, too. They were calld Sian Alice Group...

Postcript to the show, I saw this on the APTBS Myspace today:
"We are sitting on the side of a road awaiting a car to pick us up after riding in a tow truck for an hour and waiting 2 in the desert after our transmission blew up all the fluid caught flame and lit that sucker on fire! We are o.k. and hopefully will make it to Salt Lake City.
Go see the Sian Alice Group and the Early Black at Plush tonight."

heck yeah. at first i was upset that the office wasn't going to be on, but then i realized why, and figured i'll still get my comedy hour! : ) i sure hope they play the cards right. but i still can't help but feel something will happen and somehow fool people thinking into the fact that she's qualified enough. i'm sorry, but if someone asked me to do a job that i wasn't qualified for, i would turn it down. she has no business being where she is. i probably have more foreign exposure then she does...you know, i do live near canada. and you...i mean, you are close to cuba...you must have tons of experience with communism.

Hi John! Not much going on here, either, just work and stuff. The weather is slowly cooling off, which is wonderful. I love the fall.

Hope you're having a good one, too. :)
