About risingmoon79

I want to see the Northern lights before i die, and when that happens i want whoevers left to spend the money on champagne, wrap me in newspaper, burn my mortal remains and stuff them in a firework. With regard to what is happening now, i am a Mental Health Nurse, still a part time student, and still haven't learnt to cook. Away from my paid job, i work for an environmental conservation charity, and i like to paint and make stuff. Additonally, I am a member of the Fairyland Trust. Nuff said really, but its basic ecology for kids with some fun and magic thrown in. Theres often not enough of it in this world.

i can only hope they love music. i just can't set myself up for disappointment. my dad never forced it on me, and i took to it pretty hard (obviously). i'm only hoping the same thing happens to my kids. the boy has this natural little rythmn to him, which really makes me think i have a potential musician on my hands. watching him play, he just breaks into these small little body bounces. like music is in his head.

elbow...yes, seen them 3 times now. the first was in 2001 or 2002? can't remember now. 2002 maybe. it was with elbow and doves together. amazing gig. i cried at that one. then the second time was 2006. that was on tour with the leaders of the free world album. very cool, and super fun. small gig, and it was packed! this last one was a bit larger (same venue as the first time i saw them). i guess they've been a band for like 18 years now. first major label album was only 8 years ago tho. so, that's crazy. go see them if you can. worth it for sure!

thanks for the words. i'm sure things will be just fine. i'll be sure to keep you posted! take care and don't work too hard!!

hey you! wow...what a past couple days for me. sorta been a whirlwind!!

both gigs were fabulous! elbow is always great. everytime i see them they get more and more comfortable. the lead singer was very into the crowd, talking and joking with us. he was really in a great mood. the full gig was amazing, and really fun. they did a great mix from all their albums. they are for sure one band, that after seeing them live, listening to their albums takes it to a whole other level, and opens up other channels. things you just don't hear at first. have you seen them???

the rebels were amazing! of course! : ) they played a good mix of stuff, a couple new songs, some bsides. looking forward to the direction they are taking. i've heard they might do another album like howl, but one of the songs they played was more like baby 81...so, who knows where that's going. it was a fun gig for sure. met a few of the forum kids. we had a blast! just wish i would have went last night too. but...i felt like i was pushing it a little!! that being, the new baby showing signs of maybe coming early! so, i figured i had my fun. struggling with coming back to reality right now tho.

i agree with seldom seen kid. it's a great album. it's good to hear someone else liking it. you're like one of only a few that i know! people are missing out!! : )

i'm sure i'll announce baby 2 when i can. could be anytime now it seems! crazy. and sorta nerve racking too. i hate this part...just feel like your life is on hold. i remember this with our first. it's like you feel you can't really do anything...just waiting.

well, i hope you are well. sounds like things have been crazy for you lately! hopefully things slow down a bit soon. we like seeing you around these parts more often!!! : )

talk soon...

i'm doing ok...nothing too exciting going on. just enjoying some great new music...which sometimes, is all you need.

sound like you keep yourself pretty busy! that's very cool, the things you do. one of the many things that makes you, you!

serious desire to play hooky from work today. beautiful sunny spring day...

hey, look at you...where you been hiding? that work thing again??? how are you?

paranoidmouse paranoidmouse, Mar-27-08 6.42am
hey! no, it's not your imagination...i have been trying to cut back on here a bit. spent too much time on here, and i feel like i have nothing really important to add to the forum lately anyway. so, just check in and keep up with the good people i've met on here, and that's about it for a while.

so how long do you have the night shift for? hopefully not too long. that just mess up your system, huh? well, i'll send some energy your way! although with the red bull, you may not need it! haha.

down to 2 months now...so, it's coming up fast! can't believe there will be another little one around the house in a couple months. just got used to having one! haha!

how are things otherwise?

hi!! i was starting to wonder if all was ok! : ) figured it had to be work, since you work a million hours a week! hehe.

i'm doing ok! been busy, and patiently awaiting spring. be nice to get out of this winter soon, 'cause it's long and boring and draging! we had a bunch of snow again this past weekend.

besides work, how are things with you??

great to hear from you clare!
